Memphis Grizzlies center Brandan Wright will be out for approximately two months after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle on Tuesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

The North Carolina alum is a very athletic big that can rebound and block shots while scoring efficiently in the paint, almost a perfect backup to bruiser Marc Gasol.

Wright has only appeared in 12 games last season after spraining his knee. He was set for a return this year, but injured his ankle during the preseason, sidelining him for the entirety of this young season thus far.

During his short 2015-2016 campaign, Brandan Wright averaged 6.9 points on 67 percent from the field, along with 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
