Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr continues to strengthen his NL MVP case with each passing day and on Friday evening, he did what he does best: Hit tanks.

The Venezuelan cranked his 35th homer on the season and showed some love to a fellow celebrity in the city, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, after the 455-foot long ball:

The classic ice cold celebration that “Ice Trae” does on a regular basis on the hardwood. It's pretty cool to see Acuna Jr. emulate it, to be honest.

The 25-year-old is absolutely thriving in 2023, hitting .331 with 35 homers and a mind-boggling 63 stolen bases. He's already broken several records with his power numbers and special abilities on the basepaths. It's very rare we see any player go yard so often and swipe bags like it's second nature. Ronald Acuna Jr. is truly something special. He looks in line to win MVP, although Mookie Betts is also making his case.

The Braves happen to be the best team in baseball with a 91-48 record and will surely have a bye into the divisional round once the playoffs roll around. Atlanta is a serious contender to win the World Series, too, despite dealing with countless injuries to their pitching staff.

As for Trae Young, he'll be looking to lead the Hawks to a deeper playoff run in 2023-24 alongside Dejounte Murray, his backcourt mate. Atlanta lost in the first round to Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in six games. There weren't too many “Ice Trae” celebrations in that series from Young, unfortunately.
