Ronald Acuna Jr is solidifying his NL MVP claim. In their last series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Acuna became the first and only member of the 30-60 club (30 HRs, 60 SBs). After a rough two games against the St. Louis Cardinals, the Braves right fielder bounced back in a big way, hitting two solo shots off of Adam Wainwright.

Those two home runs bump Ronald Acuna Jr's home run total to 34 this season. With that in mind, the Braves star hitter is just six home runs closer to reaching the elusive 40-40 club. When asked about this specific goal, Acuna said that it would be cool to get that, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

“Everything is possible,” Acuña said. “[40-40] was never the goal. But now that it's within sight, it would be nice. But with the season being at the end and the numbers being where they are, it feels like we’re getting tight and running out of time.”

With just 23 games left in the season, there's not a lot of opportunities for Acuna to play and hit home runs. The Braves have essentially locked up the division, and we can expect the team to start sitting their players before the postseason. There might be some opportunities for Acuna to rack up HRs, though: they have seven games against the Nationals coming and a three-game series vs. the Pirates right after the Cardinals series.

There are only four members of the MLB's 40-40 club, currently. This list includes Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco, Alex Rodriguez, and Alfonso Soriano. Can Acuna join this list of All-Star hitters?
