Dirk Nowitzki made $251,646,362 from the Dallas Mavericks during his Hall of Fame NBA career, per Spotrac.

All of that money could have come from the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the team traded Nowitzki to the Mavs after drafting him with the ninth overall pick in the 1998 draft.

Dirk Nowitzki made $1,472,640 during his rookie season. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.4 boards for the Mavs. The seven-footer finished his rookie contract with Dallas by making $1,583,040 in Year 2, $1,693,560 in Year 3 and $2,157,595 in Year 4.

In October of 2001, the Mavs signed Dirk Nowitzki to a four-year, $48 million rookie-scale extension. The contract was set to kick in during the 2002-03 season, which was Year 5 for Dirk.

Nowitzki earned $10,067,750 in 2002-03. He put up stellar numbers of 25.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. The future Hall of Famer completed his rookie-scale extension with the Mavs by earning $11,326,219 in 2003-04, $12,584,688 in 2004-05 and $13,843,156 in 2005-06.

As every Mavs fan knows, the 2010-11 campaign wound up being Dirk's best year ever.

Not only did he make $17,278,618, but Dirk Nowitzki won his first NBA championship after leading the Mavs to victory over the Miami Heat. Dallas won in six games, with Nowitzki winning Finals MVP. He averaged 26.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the series.

In 2011-12, which was the lockout year, Nowitzki made $15,367,434. He earned $20,907,128 and $22,721,381 in the next two years.

Dirk Nowitzki signed a three-year, $25 million deal with Dallas in the summer of 2014. He could have ring chased and joined a contender. However, Dirk wanted to stay loyal to Mark Cuban and the Mavs.

Nowitzki made $7,974,482 in 2014-15 and $8,333,334 in 2015-16. The Mavs then signed Dirk to a one-year, $25 million deal for the 2016-17 season. That was Cuban's way of thanking Nowitzki for taking a pay cut on that three-year, $25 million deal.

The final two contracts Dirk Nowitzki signed in the NBA came in 2017 and 2018. They were both one-year deals worth $5 million each. Nowitzki finished his Mavs career with averages of 20.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
