More information has been made public with regards to the tragic passing of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. The four-time Pro Bowler's family has now spoken out about his untimely passing as they provide a suspected cause of death for Thomas.

Thomas' cousin, LaTonya Bonseigneur, who reportedly grew up with the former Broncos star, spoke to the Associated Press and confirmed that the family believes that DT died from a seizure:

“He had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering,” Bonseigneur said in a telephone interview. “He was alone and a friend couldn’t get hold of him, so he called his driver, who has a key because of these seizures, and he went into his home and found him in the shower.”

When reports first emerged of Thomas' death on Thursday, it was immediately suggested that he had passed away because of natural causes. According to Office Tim Lupo of the Roswell police department in Georgia, the former Broncos WR was found dead in his home Thursday evening:

“Preliminary information is that his death stems from a medical issue, and our investigators currently have no reason to believe otherwise,” Lupo said early Friday.

This recent statement from Thomas' cousin confirms earlier reports from the police.

We lost another good one in Demaryius Thomas. May his soul rest in peace.
