Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon has dealt with a pair of nagging injuries over the past weeks, but it did not stop him from featuring in practice on Thursday.

Gordon was sidelined from the Broncos’ scheduled practice session on Wednesday due to both his hip and thumb injuries. He has been dealing with the hip injury ever since Denver’s home win over the Los Angeles Chargers, which then forced him to miss the team’s AFC West showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in the following week.

On the other hand, Gordon suffered the thumb injury during the statement home win against the Detroit Lions earlier in the month. Still, the injury did not prevent him from rushing for 111 yards in the game.

Amid these two nagging injuries, Gordon still made his return to practice on Thursday. However, he was a limited participant in the session.

It remains to be seen whether the Broncos will go on to place an injury designation on him for their upcoming Week 16 divisional matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. The team did list him as questionable for last week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, although he not only proceeded to play in the game but also totaled for 63 yards from scrimmage.

Gordon has so far notched nine total touchdowns on the campaign. He is also 57 yards away from reaching 1,000 yards from scrimmage for the sixth time in his career.

Amid the uncertainty regarding Gordon's status for Week 16, the Broncos are also keeping an eye on backup running back Javonte Williams, who has been dealing with a knee injury this week.

The Broncos will look to keep their playoff aspirations alive with a possible win over the Raiders.
