The Denver Broncos' offense has sputtered over the last few weeks, but wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is ready to give them a spark.

After missing two games with an ankle injury, Sanders is expected to play this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com:

Broncos coach Vance Joseph said today that he expects receiver Emmanuel Sanders to be back on the field Sunday at Philadelphia.

Without Sanders, Denver only managed to score a total of 19 points in losses to the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, leading to Trevor Siemian being benched in favor of Brock Osweiler.

Despite missing action over the last couple weeks, Sanders is still second on Denver in receiving yards with 266, only trailing Demaryius Thomas' 455. Bennie Fowler is next with 220 receiving yards, and A.J. Derby comes in fourth with 211.

Through seven games, the Broncos have a total of nine passing touchdowns, with just three coming over their last five games. Head coach Vance Joseph and the staff are surely hoping Sanders' return will flip the script on a season that could go off the rails over the next couple of weeks.

Denver's next two games are at the Philadelphia Eagles and at home against the New England Patriots. If they lose both of those matchups, they'll have a five-game losing streak and an overall record of 3-6.
