The Denver Broncos are going to start practice squad wideout Kendall Hinton at quarterback against the New Orleans Saints in Week 12, per Benjamin Allbright of KOA NewsRadio.

Hinton played quarterback in college at Wake Forest.

In college, Kendall Hinton threw for 1,504 yards and eight touchdowns. He's being forced to start for the Broncos since Jeff Driskel has COVID-19 and Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles didn't wear masks in practice and were deemed close contacts to Driskel.

This is a crazy turn of events for the Broncos, who are 4-6 on the season. They were huge underdogs against the Saints even before this COVID-19 mishap happened. One can only imagine what the Saints are thinking right now, especially on defense.

It's going to be fascinating to watch Hinton go up against the Saints, but odds are he's going to struggle mightily.

Lock, Rypien and Bortles learned a valuable lesson during this situation. Players need to be wearing masks at all times whenever they are outside, especially at practice. The Broncos' higher-ups have to be disappointed with the three QBs, but the franchise doesn't have time to feel sorry for themselves right now.

The coaches for the Broncos have to figure out a way to get Hinton ready for his first start as an NFL quarterback against a Saints defense that is playing really well right now.
