Denver Broncos running back Devontae Booker has seen a lot in his four years as a pro.

Since he was drafted in the fourth round in 2016, he has seen four quarterbacks start under center — Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian and Case Keenum.

There's been a lot of turnover since he arrived in Denver. But, that's not necessarily a bad thing because, so far, the back thinks his fifth field general will be the best one yet.

After only two months, Joe Flacco has convinced Booker that the Broncos have found somebody that can lead this team, both on and off the field.

He’s such a cool guy,” Booker said Friday. “He talks to everybody in the locker room. Previous quarterbacks didn’t really do (that) much. They were just (about) being there on the field (and) getting the job done.

The Broncos traded for Flacco, the Super Bowl XLVII MVP, to start for the present. They also drafted Drew Lock, who is expected to take over the starting job in the future.

But for now, the Broncos are Flacco’s team. And everyone seems to be buying in.

“He brings that leadership ability out of all of us on the field. He won a Super Bowl,” Booker said. “He’s just a good guy.”

With starting tailback Phillip Lindsay still recovering from wrist surgery, Booker has received plenty of reps this spring with the first-team offense. That time spent will be vital to making sure Flacco is thriving in a Broncos uniform.
