The Denver Broncos used their first-round draft pick on University of Iowa tight end Noah Fant back in April, and given the fact that the Broncos don't have a ton of weapons in their passing game, Fant could get a whole lot of targets right off the bat.

However, in spite of the expectations for Fant going into his rookie year, he does not seem fazed.

“I don’t really feel pressure,” Fant said, according to Rod Mackey of 9 News. “I feel like my expectations for myself are pretty high. I feel like when my expectations for myself exceed everyone else’s, I don’t really feel pressure from everyone else. But that’s back by my work ethic and what I do out here every day and pushing myself.”

Fant added that he simply wants to use training camp to get used to playing with the first team and to improve as an individual and doesn't seem to be dealing with any added pressure.

“It feels like that is where I want to be,” said Fant. “I definitely want to be a first-team guy. Run with the ones and get some good work in, just be successful there. I have been able to do that here in camp for the start of camp. Hopefully, I can continue to do that and continue to get better.”

Fant is coming off of a junior campaign in which he hauled in 39 receptions for 519 yards and seven touchdowns. Known for his freakish athleticism, Fant ran a 4.50-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine, which is faster than a large chunk of running backs.

The Broncos then went on to take him with the 20th overall pick.
