The Cleveland Browns have struggled over the last two weeks offensively that has led to head coach Hue Jackson to discuss the state of the offense with his desire to get more involved.

This is a matter that Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has weighed in on as his team's former offensive coordinator Todd Haley is holding that same position with the Browns. With that in mind, Roethlisberger has voiced that he doesn't think that Haley isn't too fond of Jackson's comments, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

“I can’t imagine coach Todd was too happy with that talk,” Roethlisberger said on 93.7, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “I don’t know what he is going to say to coach Jackson and those players, but Todd obviously has a pretty good track record. He went to the Super Bowl as [an offensive coordinator]. He was part of this offense here that was very productive for the many years he was here. But coach Jackson is right, it’s his team, he has the right to do what he chooses and how he wants to call plays or who calls plays. It’s up to them to work that out. I’m sure those two have had at least a talk or two behind closes doors. If coach Todd or coach Jackson want to let everyone know what was said, I’m sure we’d love to hear it.”

Haley has had much success in the league as the offensive coordinator where he helped lead help push the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl XLIII as their offensive coordinator. He also had much success with the Steelers in that same position where the team had made five straight playoff appearances before he was let go by the team last offseason.

Although the Browns have hit a bit of an offensive funk this something to expect with a rookie quarterback in Baker Mayfield working through his first campaign. The team is in a vastly better place than last season with Haley at the helm as the offensive coordinator as his pairing with Mayfield.

Ultimately, only time will tell how this situation will unfold between the two with Jackson looking to have increased involvement in the playcalling.
