A lot of things have been going right for the Cleveland Browns this season for the first time in what feels like forever. Among those things is rookie cornerback Denzel Ward, who Pro Football Focus says has been the best rookie cornerback this season:

In 12 games this season, Ward has registered 48 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries and 11 passes defended.

The 21-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Ohio State University, was selected by the Browns with the fourth overall pick of the NFL Draft back in April.

So, thus far, both of Cleveland's top draft picks—the other being quarterback Baker Mayfield—seem to be working out just fine.

The Browns are coming off of a very impressive road win over the Denver Broncos to improve to 6-7-1 on the year. With the win, Cleveland actually entered the playoff conversation in the AFC. When was the last time we said that?

Of course, a lot would need to happen for the Browns to get into the postseason, but the fact that we are actually mentioning “Browns” and “playoffs” in the same sentence without bursting out into laughter is a major step in the right direction.

Cleveland's turnaround began when Gregg Williams took over for Hue Jackson as head coach. Since that point, the Browns have gone 4-2.

Cleveland will host the Cincinnati Bengals next weekend before heading on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens in their final game of the regular season. The Browns need to win both games to have a shot at the playoffs.
