The Cleveland Browns have done a remarkable job of acquiring quality talent this NFL offseason. Now they have also managed to keep one of their most promising talents on the roster for the 2018 NFL season.

The Browns have been adamant about doing what they can to keep wide receiver Josh Gordon around. Things are no different this year after tendering Gordon as an exclusive rights free agent, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk:

According to multiple reports, the Browns have done the expected and tendered Gordon as an exclusive rights free agent.

The move should come as no surprise as head coach Hue Jackson indicated that the tender would be used on Gordon weeks ago. It was merely a matter of when they were going to do it.

Since then, the Browns have acquired the likes of quarterback Tyrod Taylor and wide receiver Jarvis Landry to help juice up the lackluster offense. Now Cleveland has officially locked up Gordon for next season for the price of just $790,000. Needless to say, they got plenty of bang for their buck considering what he can potentially bring to the table.

The talented, yet troublesome wideout had missed the better part of three seasons before making his return in the latter part of the 2017 campaign. He registered 18 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown in the final five games of the season.

Despite his recent hiatus, Gordon seems to be at the top of his game after earning praise from both his team and opponents alike. That said, he could be poised for quite the comeback on a newly-revamped Browns offense.
