Cleveland Browns safety Damarious Randall reported to the team's facility with a concussion on Saturday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Cleveland placed him on concussion protocol and deemed him out for Monday's game against the New York Jets.

Randall joins RT Kendall Lamm (knee), RB Dontrell Hilliard (concussion), and LB Adarius Taylor (ankle) as those out for the game. WR Rashad Higgins (ankle), LG Joel Bitonio (abdomen), DE Chris Smith (not injury related), and QB Drew Stanton (knee) are questionable to play.

For Randall, the team's starting free safety, not playing the Jets means he doesn't get to face off against their defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Williams was Randall's defensive coordinator in 2018, then head coach after Hue Jackson's firing. He's not a fan of the now-Jets defensive coordinator.

“I don’t got no love for him at all,’’ Randall told cleveland.com’s Marry Kay Cabot. “I’m happy he didn’t get the job here. Because if Gregg would’ve gotten the job here, I would’ve requested a trade immediately.’’

“I’m just not a fan of him,’’ he said. “I’ve just never been a fan of him. There will be no love Monday night at all, period.’’

Williams won't have to watch Randall get his revenge in on Monday. Instead, Jets head coach Adam Gase will witness one of Eric Murray, Sheldrick Redwine, or Jermaine Whitehead fill-in for the Browns starter. New York isn't scot-free of injuries, as quarterback Sam Darnold is out with mono and one of his favorite targets, wide receiver Quincy Enunwa, is on injured reserve (neck).
