The Cleveland Browns are set to meet with former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant on Thursday with eyes on potentially working out a deal with him to bring him into the fold ahead of the 2018 campaign.

According to Nathan Zegura of Browns Daily, the 29-year-old has reportedly stated upon walking into the practice facility that he is hoping to work something out to join the Browns.

There is a strong level of interest from Bryant to work out a deal to become a Brown in the near future as there have been rumblings over the last several days of mutual interest. This setup visit on both sides shows that a deal could be in the works if things go well on Thursday between both sides.

This certainly gives off the vibe that it may just be a matter of time before something could be agreed upon to get Bryant in Cleveland to add to their promising offensive unit. The Browns have added several proven players to the mix over the offseason that include Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry, quarterback Tyrod Taylor, and running back Carlos Hyde. There is also the pending return of former Pro Bowl wideout Josh Gordon after gets a personal matter all sorted out.

Although Bryant has experienced a notable drop in his production over the last three seasons by failing to reach 70 catches and 1,000 receiving yards in each campaign, he can still be a highly effective option in the passing game. This could be an opportunity for him to re-establish himself as one of the premier wide receivers in the league while helping form one of the most potent groups at his position. There is plenty of promise with this potential signing that could work out great in the Browns' favor in the 2018 season.
