In the days leading up to the Thursday night matchup against the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Jarvis Landry has been dealing with a knee injury that has limited his availability on the practice field.

According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Browns have him listed on the final injury report with some knee issues prior to the game.

In his first campaign with the Browns, Landry has stepped into a prominent role in the offense hauling in 12 catches on 22 targets for 175 receiving yards through the first two games. He is coming off a solid outing last Sunday in the 21-18 loss to the New Orleans Saints where he had five catches for 69 receiving yards. Landry has been a highly reliable receiving option in the passing game that quarterback Tyrod Taylor has depended on greatly, especially in tight spots in the game.

There hadn't been any inkling that he was dealing with some nagging knee issues as it had arisen earlier this week as he was listed as limited in practice on Monday and that designation has lingered as the week has rolled along. At this point, it doesn't appear that it will prevent him from being able to take the field on Thursday night but rather that the team is taking the precautionary approach in order to prevent it from becoming a bigger issue.

If he's unable to give it a go, the Browns will likely shift their focus to having rookie Antonio Callaway lead the charge in the passing. Callaway proved to be a major factor in Week 2 as he had three catches on four targets for 81 receiving yards including a 47-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter that tied the game. This could see third-year wideout Rashard Higgins and tight end David Njoku each take up bigger role against the Jets.
