It took a lot of fans by surprise when the Cleveland Browns traded Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills for a seventh-round pick. That move was the Browns more or less just getting rid of Coleman for nothing and saying they just want him off his roster.

The Browns brought in Jarvis Landry this offseason and expectations are high for what he can bring to this team and it might be part of the reason they let Coleman go. Landry was asked about Coleman leaving and he said that he enjoyed having him around but he doesn't think the trade will have much of an effect on the team.

“Having Corey in the room it helps us out, but at the same time, now that he’s not here, we have to move past it,” Landry said, via Cleveland.com. “We have to move on. We can’t dwell on losing a guy so, I don’t see it having any effect on the team.”

Landry also thinks it's a good opportunity for some of the younger guys to step up and he is exciting what they can bring to the team.

“You know the demand is that much higher now,” said Landry. “For other guys to step up, for other guys to get opportunities, and earn their keep. In the first team meeting, coach Hue said you've got to earn what you get and so other guys have opportunities to do that now.”

The Browns still have Josh Gordon and Landry but now they are going to need some of the young guys to step up to fill the third and fourth wide receiver roles. The team has high hopes for rookie Antonio Callaway, who will likely have an opportunity to play this season after Coleman's departure.
