The odds are currently in favor of Dez Bryant joining the Cleveland Browns, but that is unlikely to happen this Thursday.

According to a report by Adam Schefter, Bryant and the Browns will continue to find a middle ground on Friday, when the situation between the two sides will hopefully become clearer.

Bryant has arrived in Cleveland together with his agent, Kim Miale, to meet with the Browns, hoping that the mutual interest in each other shown in the past couple of weeks will eventually lead to an inked paper.

If this partnership pushes through, Bryant should only make the Browns’ re-configured passing attack even more formidable. The Browns have been among the busiest teams in the NFL this offseason. They traded for a new quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, signed All-Pro wide receiver Jarvis Landry, and inked former San Francisco 49ers starting running back. They also drafted former college stars in quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Nick Chubb. Most signs point to the Browns being a much better team than they were a year ago, though, there’s no way to go up for a team that just finished 0-16 in the previous season.

Dez Bryant was let go by the Dallas Cowboys last April after spending each of his first eight seasons in the NFL with the team. Bryant hasn’t been as effective as he used to over the past three seasons, as he has failed to reach 1,000 yards in any of those campaigns.

In what turned out to be his final year in Dallas, the 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler, recorded 69 receptions, 838 receiving yards, and six touchdowns.
