Chris Godwin broke a crazy franchise record in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 30-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The 2019 Pro Bowler caught 15 passes today, the most ever for a Buc and the game-high for any game this season.

Godwin secured a catch on all but two of his targets and recorded 143 receiving yards, the most he has posted this season. He recorded almost half of his catches in the first quarter. Despite going down on the field with an apparent injury during the game, he got right back into the game and continued his historic performance.

Godwin has been a productive wide receiver ever since being drafted by Tampa Bay in the third round of the 2017 draft. This season, he is their leader in catches (67, which is top-10 in the NFL) and receiving yards (806, which ranks 14th in the league). Although the Bucs are fortunate enough to have plenty of other weapons around Tom Brady, Godwin is one of this offense's biggest workhorses.

Brady — who completed 38 of his 51 pass attempts for 368 yards, four touchdowns and one interception — also moved his name up in the history books with his touchdown passes to Rob Gronkowski. After helping the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl last year, Brady is on his way to winning an MVP award.

The 9-3 Buccaneers are in a prime position to secure the NFC South title in the coming weeks. Next week they'll have a difficult task ahead of them as they face the Buffalo Bills.
