The NFL season kicked off on Thursday night between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys, The Bucs started the scoring with a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Chris Godwin. But, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys stormed right back and scored on a CeeDee Lamb touchdown catch.

On the play, Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting went down in a scary injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with what has been diagnosed as an elbow injury.

Murphy-Bunting is one defender the Bucs were really excited about, and of course, they have brought back every single starter from last year's team that won the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The injury to Murphy-Bunting looked like a serious one, and the fact he was ruled out just minutes after sustaining the injury definitely doesn't bode well for the Bucs. The Bucs starter played every game over the past two years and brought consistency, so it will be tough to replace his productivity going forward.

For now, Ross Cockrell has stepped in to replace him, and though the NFL season is back, the injuries are also back, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, football is back, and we will stay tuned for more updates regarding Sean Murphy-Bunting.
