Tom Brady is set to make his return to New England for the first time since his shocking move to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But the legendary quarterback is all business as he takes on the Patriots franchise he won six Super Bowls with.

In the latest episode of Brady's Let's Go!' podcast, the Bucs QB was candid on where his head was at in coming back to the friendly confines of Gillette Stadium. He admitted that the experience would definitely be “really unique” given the level of familiar he's built in and around the physical grounds.

Via Jenna Laine of ESPN:

“I know that locker room, I know that home locker room, I know that home tunnel, I know which way the wind blows, I know everything about that [place],” said the Buccaneers star. “I know the way it smells. I know what a night game's like, I know what the fans are gonna sound like. So in some ways, that'll be really unique. I've never had that experience going to, you know — it'll be a first time for me being on the other sideline.

But despite the palpable nostalgia in his words, Tom Brady is putting his Tampa Bay Buccaneers first. The 44-year-old was adamant that this is no time to relive his glory days while he's still building on the legacy he's planning to leave once he retires.

“I'm not going to necessarily reminisce. I don't think this is the moment for that. I'll have plenty opportunities to reminisce about my football career — none of it, none of which I really care to do right now because I'm so much in the moment. I'm not going to be thinking about 20 years of history. I'm going to be thinking about one night of football, a Sunday night game coming off a really tough loss.”

Tom Brady will forever be immortalized as the living embodiment of the New England Patriots franchise. But as the Buccaneers QB makes his way back to the field he's owned for decades, he'll be putting all that aside for one night.
