The whole NFL world was left in shock after an ESPN report claimed that Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Tom Brady is retiring. According to Bucs head coach Bruce Arians, however, that is not true (at least for now).

Apparently, Brady has not made a decision on his future with the Buccaneers and in the NFL. It seems he is taking his time and considering all factors before he makes his final decision. And as Arians told Jenna Laine of ESPN, TB12 is “not even close to making up his mind yet.”

It is easy to understand why the retirement came so prematurely. On Friday, there were reports that Tom Brady's official announcement on his decision was imminent, with a lot of people expecting that he'll call it a career after 22 brilliant seasons in the league.

Not to mention that Brady did hint recently that he's leaning onto retirement, mentioning how his wife Gisele Bundchen doesn't like to see him getting hit all the time. He also highlighted how he wants to fulfill his duties as a husband and a father to his kids.

This sudden turn of events may be just delaying the inevitable, though, especially since Brady no longer has anything to prove and has won it all. He is already considered the GOAT, boasting seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVPs and three season MVP awards in his resume.

For now, fans and experts alike will have to wait for an official announcement from Brady to confirm his decision. Unless it came from him, nothing is set in stone.
