Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin showed up on the team's injury report earlier this week due to a quad issue. Godwin was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, putting into question his status for Thursday's Week 1 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.

However, it seems as if all is well. Godwin isn't listed on the Buccaneers' final injury report for the game against the Cowboys, signaling that he's good to go, per The Athletic's Greg Auman.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady should be happy about this news. Godwin is one of Brady's primary targets, catching 65 passes for 840 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games last season. In the playoffs, Godwin caught 16 passes for 232 yards and one score.

Godwin actually took a step back in 2020 after a career season in 2019. That year, he caught 86 passes for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games. Jameis Winston was the quarterback that season, and he put up big numbers while also throwing a ton of interceptions.

Tampa Bay has a ton of talent around Brady on offense, with Mike Evans and Antonio Brown joining Godwin as the starting receivers. Rob Gronkowski is back as the starting tight end, while Leonard Fournette is also returning in the backfield. The Buccaneers will be trying to defend their Super Bowl victory in 2021.
