With the 2022 NFL Draft right around the corner, some teams around the league are making last-minute adjustments to their cap space to sign the incoming rookies. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in a tough spot financially this season, but Tom Brady came to the rescue. Now, the franchise can focus on the draft to improve the roster for another potential Super Bowl run.

According to Adam Schefter, Tom Brady agreed to restructure his contract. This move creates, “over $9 million of added salary cap space,” for the Buccaneers. We could see Tampa Bay attempt to make a splash signing in free agency, or, the front office could use the money to sign some of their rookies in the NFL Draft.

Either way, Brady does the Buccaneers another solid in an attempt to improve the roster for another Super Bowl run. As of now, Tampa Bay is the clear favorite to win the NFC South. We'll see how the season plays out, but this franchise is in a prime position to make the playoffs. Tom Brady shows no signs of slowing down and will do everything possible to obtain his seventh championship ring.

At the very least, Tom Brady's contract restructure gives Tampa Bay options for the remainder of the offseason. The Buccaneers could put their roster over the top with the right decisions. If that's the case, then this franchise should be able to make another deep run in the playoffs. Look for the front office to make some big moves between now and the start of the regular season as they attempt to build the best roster in football.
