Giannis Antetokounmpo went full Space Jam on the Phoenix Suns at the end of Game 5, soaring for an incredible alley-oop dagger over Chris Paul like he was LeBron James posterizing Al G. Rhythm (spoiler).

James was courtside in Phoenix to support his buddy Chris Paul, and — let's be real — promote Space Jam: A New Legacywhich topped the box office this weekend.

Giannis' dunk has already been immortalized with this incredible photo, which captures the Los Angeles Lakers star (and his bottle of Lobos) in the background as Antetokounmpo overcomes Paul's dangerous mid-air shove.

Antetokounmpo may not have been directly inspired by LeBron's heroics during James' all-important matchup with the Goon Squad, but he did check out the flick the night before the pivotal Game 5.

“But this is crazy, this is a crazy story, this is not a promo,” Antetokounmpo said during his Finals availability on Monday. “The night before I was watching Space Jam on HBO. So I was watching Space Jam, you know, and there he goes, he's in the courtside seating.”

Antetokounmpo also called it “crazy” to think that LeBron made his first NBA Finals appearance in 2007 before Antetokounmpo even began his hoops journey in Greece.

“First time he was in the Finals was 2007. I wasn't playing basketball. That's crazy to think about.”

As for any banter between the Freak and the King, Antetokounmpo said his policy is never to interact with folks in the stands, including family members and major motion picture stars.

“I didn't have a chance to engage with him. I wouldn't engage with him. That's something that I don't do, it doesn't even matter who. It might be my mother sitting in the courtside seat, I don't engage with them when I'm playing. I just try to focus as much as possible.”

“Space Jam: A New Legacy” hit theaters and HBO Max this past Friday.

Antetokounmpo will get his first chance to win an NBA championship in Game 6 vs. the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
