LeBron James may not be in the NBA Finals right now, but the Los Angeles Lakers star is finding other ways to dominate. His highly anticipated Space Jam 2 movie debut has gone swimmingly, with King James and Co. taking the top spot in the box office over the weekend. It toppled Marvel's origin flick Black Widow for the throne.

Safe to say the Lakers star was ecstatic to share the news. LeBron James had just two words to address all of Space Jam 2's naysayers.

“Hi Haters!”

The Lakers star has reason to gloat give that Space Jam: A New Legacy amassed a solid $32 million in domestic box office revenue thus far during its opening weekend after being shown in 3,956 theaters. The tally is doubly impressive given it had to overcome a number of obstacles beyond just the fact that we're all still in a pandemic.

Space Jam 2 is on course to score the biggest opening for a family title in the pandemic-era despite poor reviews, growing concerns over the Delta variant and new mask mandates in L.A. County that kick in at midnight Saturday.

Take a bow, LeBron. Let's hope your off-court success carries over on the court for the Lakers next season.
