The Milwaukee Bucks have split their first 16 games this season, which has seen them struggle at times to find some level of consistency.

Following two losses in their last two games, the Bucks will look to right the ship on Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns. However, that will have to be done without the services of big man John Henson due to undergoing a minor eye operation, according to a team press release.

“Milwaukee Bucks center John Henson will miss tomorrow’s game at Phoenix following a successful eye procedure this morning in Chicago by Dr. Parag Majmudar. Henson is scheduled to join the team later this week in preparation for Saturday’s game in Salt Lake City against the Utah Jazz.”

Henson has played a sizeable role with the Bucks this season averaging 6.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocks in 22.5 minutes per contest with nine starts in 16 games played. He has seen an uptick in production this month posting a pair of double-doubles, which have come in the last three games while notching double-figure rebounds four times and multiple blocks on five occasions.

His absence will likely lead to Thon Maker drawing the start against Phoenix and move back to the bench once Henson returns for Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz.

The Bucks are already dealing with veteran big man Mirza Teletovic for the next month due to arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to repair cartilage in his left knee. Veteran point guard Matthew Dellavedova is currently out as well with left knee tendinitis.
