The Tampa Bay Buccaneers grabbed an impressive 48-40 win in Week 1 over the New Orleans Saints that put them in a great position heading into this Sunday's game against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. The Bucs look to have a pair of their contributors back in practice with both wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Jason Pierre-Paul each taking the field on Thursday morning, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Reporters at Buccaneers practice saw defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and wide receiver DeSean Jackson on the field during the portion of the session open to the media. The team’s injury report will bring word about their level of participation, but it’s a step in the right direction for both players.

Jackson had suffered a shoulder injury and a concussion in the fourth quarter against the Saints after putting up a strong outing with five catches for 146 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He still has to make his way through the concussion protocol in order to take the field against the Eagles. The presence of Jackson would be a huge bonus to bring more stability to the passing game for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to put up another solid outing.

Pierre-Paul was able to take the field in the season opener playing around 75 percent of the snaps with a knee nagging knee issue although wasn't able to secure any tackles in the game. The Bucs are counting on him to be a major factor against the pass as he has proven to be a highly effective edge rusher throughout his career.

If these two continue to participate in practice it should bode well for them to be able to play this upcoming Sunday afternoon in what will be another pivotal game. The Bucs will continue to keep an eye on healthy moving forward this week.
