The Buffalo Bills have been on a tear this season. They've won three of their last four meetings, two of which were against formidable opponents. They've got six games remaining this season, all of which are beatable teams aside from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even so, Week 12 should hold a desirable outcome for Buffalo.

The Los Angeles Chargers will face off against the Bills in Week 12, giving them their first look at the 7-3 squad this season. After going down in a tightly contested 32-30 contest to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10, Buffalo will be looking to bounce back after having a bye week to reassess some of their downfalls.

The Chargers have had a dimming season so far that's often canceled out the performances of their rookie quarterback Justin Herbert. Their window of contending in the playoffs is slimming by the second, and going against the Bills doesn't pose to bring about any good rewards on Sunday.

Here are a few predictions on what's to occur in the Bills-Chargers bout in Week 12.

4. Bills flip their running game

While the Bills have shown tremendous upgrades to their offense this season, the running game has left much to be desired. They've scored nine touchdowns through rushing efforts this season, which could show that their backfield would appreciate some easier scores.

In Week 10, they totaled 73 rushing yards against the Cardinals, most of which was compiled by Allen with 38. They've rushed for fewer than 100 yards in their past two games, which could see an increase against a Chargers' defense that ranks 15th in yards and touchdowns from rushing attempts.

Outside of Allen, Zack Moss is turning into a viable first option in the backfield, even with the likes of Devin Singletary putting up contributing efforts.

The Bills will rush for more than 150 yards while grabbing two touchdowns as a result of their efforts.

3. Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley combine for three TDs

Diggs deserves a justified amount of credit in Allen and the Bills' offensive success this season. He leads the team in reception yards with 906 while completing 72.3 percent of his targets, resulting in four touchdowns. The 26-year-old wideout is on schedule to beat out his 2019 season averages of 1,130 yards and six touchdowns.

Against the Cardinals, Diggs turned in one of his better performances of the season, catching all 10 of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown. His performance came in second place, however, to that of Cole Beasley, who tallied 109 yards while catching 84.6 percent of his targets for one touchdowns as well.

Both Diggs and Beasley will look to capitalize on the Chargers underwhelming defense on Sunday. They've been burnt by wideouts in the past weeks and rank 24th in allowing touchdowns through passes.

The two wideouts will combine for 225 receiving yards while combining for three touchdowns as well.

2. Bills' defense wavers

The Bills will get their first look at Herbert on Sunday, which should make for an interesting contest. The rookie sensation has been outstanding for the Chargers this season given the conditions under which he was thrusted into a starting role.

As games go by, Herbert continues to cement himself as one of the future, elite quarterbacks of the league. He's only had one game this season in which he threw under 250 yards. Other than that, Herbert at only the age of 22 is a beast. The Oregon standout is averaging nearly 300 (299.99) yards per game in passes, resulting in 22 touchdowns for the season.

When you put that into an equation with the Bills' defense, the results should be a positive yield for Herbert. The Bills have been lenient against most quarterbacks this season, with Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson being the latest two. Both threw for over 200 yards in their respective games while completing at least 68 percent of their passes.

The Bills rank 13th in yards allowed from passing, meaning Herbert has the green light to go off for another 300-plus yard game.

1. Josh Allen comes out swinging

The worst thing that a faulty Chargers defense could've asked for was a well-rested Allen coming off a bye week. Regardless of the outcome of the MVP voting for this season, Allen has earned his nod as the people's champ in Buffalo.

Allen has tallied 2,871 passing yards this season from spectacular performances. He's completed 68.4 percent of his passes through 10 games, which puts him on par to jump his 2019 averages by a large margin. In addition, he's averaging 287.1 yards per game, which sits him at seventh in the league in terms of passing stats amongst all active quarterbacks.

A major component that's hindered the Chargers from having a winning season is due to their struggling efforts at containing offenses. Their defense can't maintain the same momentum as their offense, which often leaves the door wide open for opposing clubs to stage comebacks.

Allen will go for 250-plus yards on Sunday while throwing for three touchdowns.
