The Chicago Bulls are moving past their massive COVID-19 outbreak, with All-Star Zach LaVine now out of the NBA's health and safety protocols. LaVine returned to practice on Thursday, though the Bulls don't play again until Sunday.

Chicago recently had 10 players in COVID protocols, sparking the postponement of two games last week. The Bulls also had Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors postponed, but that was because of the Raptors' own outbreak and an inability to field the minimum eight players.

After the two-game postponement last week, Chicago returned to action against the Los Angeles Lakers this past Sunday. Fellow star DeMar DeRozan came back from his stint in protocols for that game, going for 38 points in a thrilling 115-110 victory. The Bulls then followed that up with a blowout win over the Houston Rockets to get to 19-10 on the season, which is second in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago faces the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. LaVine is certainly excited to get back on the court:

In addition to LaVine's return, the Bulls got a number of other players out of protocols. That includes Devon Dotson, who tested out of them early after going in earlier this week. Alex Caruso and Derrick Jones Jr. are still out right now due to their own injuries, but Chicago is hoping the worst of these COVID issues are now behind them. Caruso, Lonzo Ball and Tony Bradley are the only other normal rotation players who haven't entered protocols this season. Nikola Vucevic tested positive for COVID-19 in November.

Editor's Note: This story initially said Lonzo Ball and Tony Bradley were the last two Bulls rotation players to not enter protocols this season, but Alex Caruso hasn't either. It has been updated to reflect this.
