Chicago Bulls rookie Coby White issued a lighthearted warning to Lauri Markkanen after the latter dunked all over him.

Via Twitter, White posted a clip of Markkanen's spike all over him. As seen in the clip, White's back was turned and Markkanen took it as an opportunity for some good old rookie hazing. But White, as evidenced in his tweet, was not having any of it. He might have something up in his sleeve which he'll unravel in the next few days.

White, the Bulls' seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, had a relatively good showing in the Summer League. Though he didn't shoot the ball very well (33.7 percent from the field and 10 percent from deep) — something that most rookies go through — he did put up decent numbers: 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

From the looks of it, White will likely be the Bulls' reserve point guard behind Kris Dunn. As such, White's rookie year will be spent learning the tricks of the trade as a point guard.

The Bulls are one of the youngest teams in the NBA. It can be easily tagged as a liability. But from a broad perspective, it should be an asset. If White develops into an effective guard like what's expected of him, then the Bulls — which has missed the playoffs for two consecutive years — can finally go over the hump.
