It took five games before Nikola Vucevic finally got his first official win in a Chicago Bulls uniform. But boy, was it a sweet one

The Bulls finally put an end to their ugly six-game skid (four with Vooch) on Sunday by taking down the mighty Brooklyn Nets, 115-107, at United Center.

After the game, the 30-year-old center expressed his delight for finally getting that elusive first W since leaving the Orlando Magic at the NBA trade deadline.

Being the All-Star player that he is, Nikola Vucevic didn't exactly have a hard time in his new surroundings, as he has played good basketball for the Bulls since joining the team. However, it was clear that he needs some time to adjust to his new teammates and head coach Billy Donovan's scheme of things.

Things finally clicked against the Nets, as Vucevic had an all-around performance of 22 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 10-for-17 from the floor in 32 minutes of play. He also received a big contribution from fellow All-Star Zach LaVine, who poured in a game-high 25 points, while Tomas Satoransky continued his fine play adding 19 points. Patrick Williams, Thaddeus Young and Daniel Theis all finished in double-figures as well.

Despite the win, Chicago is still outside the playoff picture at 10th place in the East with a 20-28 slate. The arrival of Vucevic certainly made them a better team, while most pundits expected them to become instant postseason contenders.

The Eastern Conference, of course, has improved by leaps and bounds this season and the Bulls still have a lot of catching up to do to keep up with the times. But as far as Vooch is concerned, he'll enjoy his first win with the team and hopefully build from it in the coming games.
