The Chicago Bulls are in a downward spiral right now as the losses just keep piling up. With a 125-115 loss to the lowly New York Knicks on Saturday, they may have hit a new low.

Frustrations are clearly boiling over for Bulls star Zach LaVine. The talented 2-guard knows a lot of factors have contributed to their current situation right now and that change, inevitably, is something they need in the offseason.

“There’s a lot of different factors, man,” LaVine said, per Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. “I don’t think some people played up to par. I don’t think we did the right things, game to game. We fight, but we obviously don’t get the end result that we need. So something’s got to change. You’ve got to do something to get those wins and stop stockpiling (those) losses. I think there’s a lot of things that you’ve got to take into consideration and you’ve got to look at in the offseason.”

Chicago entered the season with expectations of making the postseason. Fast-forward to March, and that clearly is not happening as the Bulls are well on their way toward another lottery selection in June.

Bulls fans have grown frustrated with nearly the entire franchise, including the front office and the coaching staff. During the 2020 All-Star festivities held in Chicago, Bulls fans broke out a “Fire GarPax” chant live on ESPN with LaVine on air as a guest. Likewise, many Bulls fans share the same sentiment that a coaching change needs to happen in the offseason.

LaVine and the Bulls may be frustrated with their predicament, but they have no choice but to just go through this season and hope for the best in the summer. Chicago sits at just 20-40 on the season. The team won just one game in February.
