Arizona Cardinals star quarterback Kyler Murray didn't play in the Week 9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers due to an ankle injury, and he missed practice earlier in the week. However, Murray was back at practice on Friday, which is a good sign for his chances of playing this weekend against the Carolina Panthers.

Now, Murray isn't definitely playing. He's a game-time decision, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapaport, and the Cardinals could still decide to rule him out depending on how things are going leading up to the game. They're going to be cautious with their franchise quarterback, especially with an 8-1 record to start the season.

Colt McCoy played well in the convincing victory over the 49ers, so Arizona can feel somewhat confident in the veteran delivering another steady performance against Carolina. The Cardinals are extremely talented and could certainly win again without Murray, though the Panthers do have one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Of course, if Murray is healthy enough to play, he'll be out there. The Cardinals star has been having an MVP-level season so far, and fantasy football managers would love to see him back on the field. He has thrown for 2,276 yards 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions so far this season. He also has 147 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.

Murray has been right around a top-five fantasy quarterback this season, and his presence would also raise the levels of his weapons. One bit of bad news, though: DeAndre Hopkins wasn't at practice on Friday, so it looks like he could be in line to miss another game.

If Murray doesn't play, McCoy is an okay streaming option based on how he played last weekend, but Carolina's strong defense should probably turn any desperate fantasy football managers elsewhere.
