Kyler Murray put together an impressive rookie campaign with the Arizona Cardinals in 2019 and he faces even higher expectations in 2020. Larry Fitzgerald, who is entering his 16th season with the Cardinals, is anxious to get back to work with Murray and the rest of his teammates.

In a conversation with Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals official website, Fitzgerald explained that the offense will need some time to get on the same page:

“We have some great, talented players individually, but you're only as good as your collective team … We have to get on the practice field. We have to work through some kinks. We have to get new guys acclimated to what we're doing. I think everybody is anxious to get back to work and get on the field, kind of see exactly what we have.”

Of course, the success of the Cardinals offense next season will rest on the Murray's shoulders. Despite the pressure the former No. 1 pick faces, Fitzgerald is confident he'll have a remarkable second season:

“[Kyler Murray] wants to take this to the next level and build on what he was able to accomplish last year, NFL Rookie of the Year. He's got a lot of guys who want to play well for him, and he wants to do the same for us. Hopefully we will be able to do it here pretty soon.”

Earlier this offseason, the Cardinals were able to acquire All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Houston Texans. Therefore, as talented as Hopkins is, Arizona is going to need to build chemistry on the field. Nevertheless, Fitzgerald is ecstatic to see the potential of this year's team and what they can do when they finally do all get together.
