According to Mike Garafolo on Twitter, the Arizona Cardinals are boosting their secondary. They've come to terms to an agreement with veteran free agent cornerback Tramaine Brock.

The Arizona Cardinals were the worst team in the NFL last season (giving them the number one pick in the upcoming draft). They look to be attempting to restock with some smart veteran signings though.

Tramaine Brock is a nine-year veteran in the NFL. The cornerback spent his first seven years in the League with division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers. He then spent one year with the Minnesota Vikings before appearing in 12 games for the Denver Broncos last season.

Brock isn't a superstar cornerback. The 30-year-old gives Arizona a smart veteran presence in the secondary though. He's someone they can rely on to give them steady production, and a good veteran to have in the locker room to help teach up the younger players.

Admittedly, Brock has struggled in recent years. He's only two seasons removed from some really strong seasons with the 49ers though. If the Cardinals could get that version of Brock, he'd help their defense immensely.

Arizona is still seen as the lower tier team in the NFC West. The Los Angeles Rams are the toast of the division, and the Seattle Seahawks are always strong. San Francisco has made some moves in recent years as well and is clearly a franchise on the rise.

The Arizona Cardinals could make big steps towards their own rebuild this offseason though. A chance to retool in the draft is staring them in the face.

Adding veteran players like Tramaine Brock is an underrated move that should make the transition easier for them.
