J.J. Watt and Zach Ertz are in the midst of the most riveting offseason drama in the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowlers are beefing … over donuts.

Ertz had reportedly promised a box of donuts to share with his Cardinals teammates, but mainly intended for their strength coach named Buddy. But Watt, who reportedly was asked for his desired flavors, didn't get what he wanted.

“Yesterday, Zach said ‘I'm going to bring in donuts for Buddy, our strength coach, what kind of donuts do you like?' I'm a big fan of the pink frosted, I think it's strawberry, and maple glazed. He goes, ‘Cool, I'll pick them up in the morning'.

Shows up this morning, box full of donuts, no strawberry glazed, no maple glazed. I'm extremely grateful for the free donuts, but do I have any ground to stand on?” Watt asked his followers.

Ertz demonstratively shouted “no” in the background, and later on addressed the shocking donut dilemma on Twitter. According to the Cardinals tight end, Watt's order wasn't even on the menu.

Fair defense or does Watt deserve some maple glazed donuts, folks?

As with any offseason NFL drama, there's obviously a ton of nuance to such scandals. Hopefully the next sweet treats that enter the Cardinals locker room will have something to J.J. Watt's liking.
