The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to start the second half of their season on the right foot as they try to snag a win against the Chicago Bears before heading to their bye week. Once again, they'll be looking at Carson Wentz to help them get the points they need to win the game.

There's a lot of pressure on Wentz to succeed as he's not performed up to par over the past couple of games. However, there are reasons for Philly fans to be optimistic about their Week 9 chances with Wentz in the pocket.

Wentz should be able to stand out against the Bears given his talent. Here are some daring predictions about the star quarterback's achievements in their Week 9 game.

Wentz will  throw for 350 passing yards

The biggest thing that's hounded Wentz through his career so far is his consistency in the pocket. He's shown in his earlier years that he can throw the ball when needed and complete some of the most beautiful touchdowns.

He was spectacular in 2017, but his injuries cut his Super Bowl–winning season short as he watched Nick Foles complete the Philly Special to win him his first Super Bowl title. He even played fewer games last season, and his numbers understandably took a small dive.

This season, you can see the effect the injuries have made on his game. While he's still an influential QB, he's become too inconsistent in the pocket. While the Eagles won against the Buffalo Bills, Wentz only threw for 172 passing yards since the running game got rolling.

Wentz will want to impose his will that he's still one of the league's most dangerous pocket passers. He will make that point by finishing with at least 350 yards. He's finished multiple games where he had 300 passing yards, so this is not impossible for him to achieve.

Wentz will complete a 75-yard pass

One of Wentz's greatest weapons in his arsenal is his deadly long-range passes. His ability to get the ball deep in the field for his receivers to catch has always been and will be his greatest asset as a football player.

Unfortunately, he's not thrown a lot of deep balls recently. Either due to pesky secondaries or his poor run of form, he hasn't been able to find the open man and give him a proper long-range bomb that goes for 70 yards or more.

This is the perfect opportunity for Wentz to throw a dangerous ball. The Bears do have one of the better pass defenses in the league, but he's motivated to lead the team to a playoff berth. Getting a 75-yard pass is a perfect way to announce his intentions.

The Eagles offense will gather around Wentz

The Philadelphia Eagles haven't been the shining example of what a football team should be like. However, they've sorted their issues as Wentz was an important figure in their players-only meeting.

He'll be determined to play like a star once again, and an erratic Bears give him and his teammates a chance to reestablish themselves offensively.
