Restricted free agent Collin Sexton is receiving interest from the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz, according to Sam Amico. As an RFA, Sexton can sign an offer sheet with any team but Cleveland has the right to match any offer.

The number of teams that can offer Sexton the deal he is looking for is dwindling. A sign-and-trade seems to be the most likely option for any team pursuing Sexton.

Sexton has not received the market he probably hoped for when free agency began. Teams are likely being cautious of Sexton's knee injury, which limited him to only 11 games this past season.

The Heat are likely looking at Sexton as a backup plan if their pursuit of Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant fails. Meanwhile, the Jazz might be viewing Sexton as a possible successor to star Donovan Mitchell, who has been the subject of trade speculation.

In four seasons, Sexton holds averages of 20.0 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. Sexton was expected to form a dynamic backcourt with teammate Darius Garland.

In Sexton's absence, Garland had a breakout year, culminating in his first NBA All-Star selection and a third-place finish in voting for the NBA Most Improved Player Award.

The Cavaliers traded for guard Caris LeVert last season and he played admirably in place of Sexton. LeVert's play might make the Cavaliers comfortable enough to let Sexton walk.

If Sexton does re-sign with Cleveland, he will compete with LeVert for the starting shooting guard position.

The Cavaliers extended a $7.2 million qualifying offer to Sexton and if Sexton elects to sign it, he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
