The 16th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Guerschon Yabusele, has decided to leave the NBA to sign with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association on a one-year deal.

Yabusele may have signed to play overseas in China due to the fact that the team that drafted him, the Boston Celtics, have a frontcourt that is extremely crowded, especially due to the recent signing of Al Horford, which would potentially leave him with only a little bit of playing time.

One of six Celtics draft picks this year, Yabusele is an extremely interesting prospect for Boston. Standing 6-8 to go along with 270 pounds, he has a 7-2 wingspan to go along with a smooth jump shot for his size. Although he will not be playing for Boston this upcoming season, the Celtics still have the draft rights to him.

Yabusele may seem like somewhat of a hidden gem for the Celtics. Maybe this short stint in China will do him good, seeing as he will more than likely get the playing time he wants. If he does well it could also be an extremely big confidence boost for the time that he decides to come back to the United States to play in the NBA.

Last season playing in Europe, Yabusele averaged 11.5 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds. He also played for in this year's summer league for the Celtics.
