NBC Sports Boston is under fire on social media after the network cut off Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown during his Black Lives Matter segment.

After the Celtics played the Oklahoma City Thunder in the team's first scrimmage game on Friday, Brown did his usual postgame press conference. One of the Boston reporters asked the swingman about the Black Lives Matter protest he attended during the NBA hiatus, and that's when NBC Sports Boston transitioned back to the studio hosts.

This certainly isn't a good look for NBC Sports Boston. It will be interesting to see if the company releases a statement on this situation.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, Brown was averaging 20.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Celtics in 50 games. The 23-year-old Georgia native was also shooting 49.0 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Celtics are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 43-21. The seeding games start on July 30.
