Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens believes the 2020 All-Star Game changed Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown despite only the former playing in the February game in Chicago, Illinois.

Tatum was named an All-Star for the first time in his career, but Brown got snubbed.

Stevens said Tuesday that both Tatum and Brown went to a different level after their respective All-Star fates were announced.

“When Jayson Tatum got named an All-Star, Tatum went to a different level. And when Jaylen Brown didn’t get named an All-Star, Jaylen went to a different level,” Brad Stevens told Celtics reporters, per NESN.

“That’s a great response by both guys in two different circumstances.”

Tatum and Brown are the future of the Celtics, and the two youngsters could be a dynamic duo in Beantown for the next decade or so.

For what it's worth, Brown has already signed an extension with the Celtics, while Tatum is expected to agree to a lucrative rookie-scale extension this offseason.

As the NBA resumes soon, the Celtics are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a stellar record of 43-21. Once the 2020 playoffs start after the conclusion of the seeding games, Boston will ultimately go as far as Kemba Walker, Brown, Tatum and Gordon Hayward can lead the team offensively.
