Enes Kanter of the Boston Celtics has come out and said that he is not receiving playing time due to his stance on the Chinese government.

Kanter has always been one to express his opinions. Most of the time he makes intelligent and valid points. This time was a little different as it seems like he made this claim out of pure frustration.

The Celtics have been playing decent basketball and Al Horford has really stepped into his role nicely for them. At the moment there's no reason for Kanter to be seeing time for the Celtics and that doesn't have to do with anything off the court.

Chris Forsberg of NBCS Boston said Celtics head coach Ime Udoka had this to say about the claim,

“My thing is strictly basketball. We're switching a lot and doing some things that probably are not as natural for him and that's limited his time to some extent … Nothing basketball related will be based on [social media].”

This is something to keep an eye on for the future because Kanter might come out with why he believes this way.

Did Udoka say something in the Celtics locker room? It doesn't look like that right now, but if something did happen, Kanter is going to be the one who comes out and says it. The Celtics big man has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself so don't expect him to do it this time.
