For Isaiah Thomas of the Denver Nuggets, Kemba Walker will definitely thrive with the Boston Celtics.

Per NBCS Celtics as transcribed by Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Thomas was asked how Walker will fit in with Brad Stevens' system.

“(It’s) an open opportunity system. Brad puts you in position to be successful no matter who you are. If the reports are true and Kemba is a Celtic, he is going to have a hell of a time there.”

If anyone knows Stevens' system, it is definitely Thomas. To recall, in his short stint with the Celtics, Thomas rose up the ranks as an MVP candidate. Specifically, in the 2016-2017 season, Thomas averaged 28.9 points per game (a career-high), 5.9 assists, 0.9 steals across 33.8 minutes. He also shot 46.3 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from deep. The Celtics went on to the Eastern Conference Finals that season and Thomas was heralded as one of the elites.

But when Thomas left Boston, he struggled to get back his old form. Apart from nursing a hip injury, Thomas seemingly had a hard time fitting in with a different system. This led analysts to conclude that Stevens had a big hand in turning Thomas into the superstar that he was in Boston.

Now, its Walker's turn to get all the glory. Time can only tell if he logs in the best season of his career with the Celtics just like Thomas. But from the looks of it, he'll do just fine.
