The Boston Celtics dropped another game on Sunday, this time to a lowly Washington Wizards team, and Jaylen Brown didn't hold back any feeling with how the team has played recently.

If it's not rock bottom, it's close:

The Celtics are 3-5 in the month of February and just lost two straight to the Wizards and Detroit Pistons, both of whom are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. They are 1-4 in their past five games and continue to drop down the standings in the East as they flirt with the .500 mark. Brown said they “weren't very good,” and that's true.

Sadly, this is Brown's best season and is posting averages of 26 points per game with 5.6 rebounds and looks to be a lock for the NBA All-Star Game. However, the Celtics are struggling as a team.

Brad Stevens' squad scored only 91 points against the Wizards and had just two players finish in double figures, Brown and Kemba Walker, who both had 25 points on Sunday.

Jayson Tatum went 3-of-14 from the field for just eight points, and the Celtics' bench once again failed to make much happen Boston shot 35.6 percent from the field and just 25.7 percent from beyond the arc, and the Wizards led in every statistical category except for offensive rebounds

Brown has been playing at a high level all season long, but injuries to Walker and Marcus Smart, plus the COVID-19 absence for Tatum, have contributed to Boston's struggles. This team could use a major upgrade in the frontcourt and as far as the bench is concerned, and the Celtics' $28.5 million Gordon Hayward trade exception should be put to use on that front.

As Brown said, it's all about mentality, and this team needs to make some big changes to compete in the conference this season.
