Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown doesn't think the team was prepared for the circus that was this season.

From the media coverage to the expectations from the fans, the Celtics had a lot going on this season and they were never able to get it together:

Before the 2018-19 season started, pretty much everyone picked the Celtics to coast through the Eastern Conference. The team was one game away from reaching the NBA Finals last season and essentially added Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward this season since both players missed the 2018 postseason.

Roles on the team changed, though. Terry Rozier went back to the bench with Irving back, and Brown and Jayson Tatum's usage on offense decreased with the return of both Irving and Hayward. There were just too many mouths to feed this season in Boston.

During the regular season, Brown averaged 13.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the field, 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 65.8 percent from the free-throw line. The Celtics are probably going to try to trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis this summer. There's a chance Brown may have played his last game for Boston. Only time will tell if that's true or not.
