When the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers face off on Thursday in TD Garden, there's a chance that current Sixers forward Al Horford will get booed.

The reason would be because Horford, who played in Boston for the past three seasons, chose to sign with the Sixers this offseason for a four-year $109 million contract.

However, even if the fans boo the ex Celtics bog man, Horford's former teammate Jaylen Brown knows where he stands on the issue.

Brown and Horford played together since Brown was drafted in 2016. This season, the Celtics shooting guard has had a breakout year, averaging a career-high 20.0 points per game along with 6.9 rebounds.

For Horford, the 13-year NBA veteran is averaging 13.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists after averaging almost similar numbers for Boston.

In a battle for the Eastern Conference throne, the 17-6 Celtics have slipped to third place after their four-game win streak was snapped on Wednesday by the Indiana Pacers.

Philadelphia, on the other hand, has fallen a bit short of many preseason expectations. However, at 18-7, they are just right behind the Celtics in the standings. The Sixers are just coming off a three-game home stretch in which they went 3-0.

There is certainly some animosity between the two East powerhouse teams, so Brown may have to expect Horford to get booed loudly.
