Boston Celtics rising star Jaylen Brown is a huge fan of Kevin Garnett. So much so, that the 6-foot-6 wing recently revealed that Garnett happens to be his all-time favorite Celtics player. Yes, ahead of other obvious all-time greats that played for the franchise.

Jaylen Brown is a shooting guard/small forward, so the more obvious choice would have been someone who played in the same position. Celtics legend Larry Bird would have been a more straightforward response, or maybe a guy like Paul Pierce, considering the fact that Brown is currently just 23 years of age.

This was simply not the case, though, as the choice did not even appear to be a tough one for Brown. In his mind, former league MVP and one-time NBA champ Kevin Garnett is without a doubt the greatest Celtic of all time. To be fair, KG is indeed one of the most prominent Celtics players in his era, being an instrumental part of their last championship in just his first season with the team, so we absolutely cannot fault Brown for his choice here.

Brown is currently dealing with an illness, and was unable to take the floor on New Year's Day in an easy 109-92 victory against the Charlotte Hornets. Recent reports, however, state that the former third overall pick might be able to make his return to action as early as Boston's next game. This will be a matchup against the lottery-bound Atlanta Hawks on Friday, and barring any unforeseen setbacks, we fully expect Brown to suit up for that one.
