Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown is dealing with injuries to both ankles, but he is not expected to miss any time, according to Marc D'Amico of the Celtics' team website.

D'Amico notes that it sounds like Brown will play in the team's matchup with the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night and that the Celtics do not seem too concerned with the injuries.

Brown, who was already dealing with a nagging ankle issue going into Sunday's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, rolled his other ankle during the victory. He finished the game, however, totaling 17 points.

The 23-year-old is enjoying a breakout season, as he is averaging 20.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals over 33.7 minutes per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the floor, 37.7 percent from three-point range and 74.6 percent from the free-throw line.

This comes after Boston awarded Brown with a lucrative contract extension before the 2019-20 campaign began.

Brown played his collegiate basketball at the University of California and was originally selected by the C's with the third overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft.

He showed instant promise as a rookie, playing in 78 games with 20 starts and registering 6.6 points across 17.2 minutes a night while making 45.4 percent of his field-goal attempts, 34.1 percent of his long-distance tries and 68.5 percent of his foul shots.

Brown's role then increased the following season, culminating in an impressive playoff run that appeared to have the Marietta, Ga. native on the brink of stardom.

But, Brown showed little to no progression last year, which had some wondering if he would be able to make a big jump this season.

Obviously, Brown has proven the doubters wrong.

The Celtics have won seven games in a row and are 37-15 on the year.
