Boston Celtics youngster Jaylen Brown believes he can be an effective power forward for Team USA.

Brown says his overall goal with Team USA is “being a utility guy” who rebounds, but also a player who will score and use his speed against slower power forwards.

“Just being a utility guy, being aggressive,” Brown said, via USAB.com. “Of course, being aggressive and attacking, but also being a physical guy, being the guy that’s getting the rebounds, being the guy that’s diving on the floors for loose balls, being a guy that’s being physical, pushing guys around.

“But also, being aggressive. I feel like I can play the four, guard the fours with my strength and versatility, and it will be tough for a four to guard me. So, I’m just playing fast, playing hard, being physical, being smart, being a utility guy. Just get in where you fit.”

Brown is listed at 6-foot-7, 220 pounds. He plays the small forward spot with the Celtics, but will be able to slide to the four spot once the FIBA World Cup starts assuming his matchup isn't that much bigger than him.

All signs point toward the four Celtics players making the 12-man roster which will compete in China.

Kemba Walker will likely start at the point guard spot, while Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown figure to come off the bench.
